This is a watercolor painting of a famous elm tree in Furnessville, Indiana that stretched over Route 20 for many years. Leah's painting honors a tree that survived for such a long time and stretched at one point over several lanes of traffic on Route 20 in Furnessville, Indiana. After years of decline due to utility cutbacks, the tree was fully taken down in late 2025. It has been heartwarming to see community members eager to memorialize this special "landmark tree" and share their family stories. This art print of the original watercolor keeps it with us longer.
