About the Art:
The Three Sisters of La Porte is a grouping of 3 bald cypress trees in La Porte, Indiana. They were brought back as saplings from the Chicago World Fair of 1893 by a doctor and planted near Clear Lake. Legend has it that after 3 boys drowned in the early 1920s in the lake, the trees were named the Three Sisters to look after the boys.
